Nicole’s Keeper for Jasmine

with 2 comments

When I first found out that Jasmine was my partner for this assignment, the first thing that came to mind was superheroes. Jasmine loves them, so I thought, my keeper had to have something to do with them! What I decided to do was use the Superman symbol, and instead of having the ‘S’ in the middle, I put a ‘J’ for Jasmine – because she’s Super Jasmine!

I had hoped that Jasmine would be excited and happy when she received her gift, and she didn’t disappoint! She laughed and smiled and seemed genuinely happy when she got it. I made it so it is something she could hang in her room or stand it up on a bookshelf, and I think she will keep it.

Don’t push the Red Button!

with 6 comments

The application for the iPod Touch, iPad, or iPhone consists of a red button, and every time you press it, it tells you not to touch it. That goes on for quite a while until you finally reach the end. This is a useless app, and really does not have a point to it. Every time you press the button, the app tries to get you to stop pressing it by saying various things. The end of the application brings you right back to the beginning. Even though the app is free, it is a waste of time and not such a great app.

Stumbleupon

with 7 comments

Stumbleupon is a website where people can sign up and then ‘stumble’ across different things that interest them. For instance, if you like photography, you can ‘stumbleupon’ sites specifically made for people who are interested in photography. There are so many different things that you can discover, like graphic design, cartoons, painting, web development, movies, travel, and more.

Stumbleupon is a user-friendly site, and has a large variety of things that the viewer can look at. If someone is just interested in looking at several different things, and doesn’t have one specific theme in mind, then they can just look at everything.

The site also allows people to ‘like’ a site, and that way when you stumble, it will show you more things similar to what you have liked. So the more someone likes, the more the site gets an idea of what you like to look at, and it also provides a reference for later in case you want to go back to it.
