NxSET Wearable Speakers

with 7 comments

When working with technology, we are determined to have experiences that influence us in a good way and allow us to continue in a path or working with a particular program. However, with some of these experiences we are frustrated and this compels us to move towards a new program or a different strain of the technology. A piece of technology that was found to be useless was this new invention called ‘Wearable Speakers’. These NxSET Wearable Speakers allow you to listen to music while wearing the device stylishly around your neck. Much like headphones you can plug them into mp3’s and other devices that are compatible with speaker/ headphones. With a very high price of $79.95 you can purchase this waistless contraption and listen to music with the convenience of everyone else hearing while you listen. If you’d like to splurge a little more you can also purchase the same set with retractable earbuds that allow for completely private listening for the price of $159.95. With this device’s bulk being fashioned around your neck and extended to you ears, there’s no wonder why users are turning away from the gadget.

Skype App

with 6 comments

Being a skype user on my computer, I thought the skype app seemed pretty handy. It allows you to call people or other skype members for free no matter where they are in the world. This is a very useful app from my point of view because not only can you call anyone from anywhere around the world, but you can also do it at the convenience of being at a grocery store, at work, or anywhere inside of your home because the device is portable. Skype to skype calls are free and ‘always on’ to receive calls any time, this makes using your wireless plan’s minutes unnecessary. There are some flaws if you are unable to obtain a wireless connection however this is similar to a cell phone, because even with a cell phone you can some time have troubles getting service. You are basically making phone calls, but the main difference is that you don’t need to pay a monthly fee in order to do so, and calling anyone from outside your area or country costs you no more than a regular skype call- free. This is the key feature that made the skype app more appealing to me as a user.
